AUCTION CAR:

This 1934 Ford Five-Window Coupe is a masterclass in hot rod craftsmanship, built by respected hot rodder Phil Pavicich as a no-compromise tribute to 1960s style and performance. Constructed from a Deuce Farm body chopped four inches and fitted with a concealed roll cage, the coupe rides on a boxed steel chassis with tubbed rear arches to accommodate the aggressive stance and mechanicals. Finished in mirror-gloss DeBeer Black by Terry Rowe, the body features a steel bonnet and sides with stamped louvres on the guards, bonnet, sides and deck lid, blending style with cooling. Subtle pinstriping by Fred Nilan adds vintage flair, while polished Halibrand wheels and a raked stance complete the iconic silhouette. Authentic detailing includes a genuine ’34 grille, commercial headlights, Model A taillights, and hand-fabricated nerf bars, each piece selected or handmade to maintain visual integrity. This is a powerful hot rod with nothing to hide from the outstanding mechanical package to the custom leather interior with every element proudly on display in bare honesty or polished excellence.

 

DRIVE-LINE:

At the heart of this machine lies a fire-breathing Chrysler 392ci Hemi V8, built by Extreme Engine Centre for serious street performance with alloy heads and topped with a polished GMC 6/71 supercharger and twin four-barrel Holley 600 Blower carburettors topped of with a custom built stainless steel scoop. The engine breathes through stainless steel headers and exhaust. A Turbo 400 transmission rebuilt by Chriss Dimoff at DTM features a 3,000 stall converter, heavy duty clutches and a shift kit sending drive to a Winters quick-change rear end equipped with strengthened Dutchman 3.5 LSD gears. The suspension setup includes ladder bars and Pete & Jake’s hairpin front end with a So-Cal four-inch dropped axle with the rear using a polished Model A transverse spring assembly with ladder bars for control and ultra cool aesthetics. Stopping power is delivered through Wilwood front discs and rear drums with an ABS electric brake system. Halibrand 15X10 and 15X6 wheels are wrapped in big Hoosier tyres providing confidence to match its brutal straight-line performance.

 

EXTERIOR:

Visually, this coupe commands its attention by way of its deep DeBeer Black finish, with subtle pinstriping and louvred steel components. The body is a quality Deuce Farm unit with internal roll cage that’s chopped and channeled, sitting low and aggressive over wide rear tubs. Genuine ’34 Ford commercial headlights, a period-correct grille shell, Model A taillights, and custom stainless steel nerf bars complete the exterior appointments. Polished Halibrand wheels—wide at the rear and narrow up front—wrapped in Hoosier rubber reinforce the unmistakable hot rod attitude, while the meticulous paintwork showcases panel fit and finish at the highest level.

 

INTERIOR:

The cabin continues the blend of stand-out aesthetics and custom craftsmanship, with suicide doors opening to reveal a purpose-built red leather interior. The dash is equipped with Moon gauges and custom switchgear, while custom made one-off stainless steel trim lines the doors, seats and all hardware, offering a unique artisan touch rarely seen even in high-end builds. An elegant bench seat trimmed in leather complements the leather rood lining and thick carpet flooring, reinforcing the quality of the build. To add a touch of further style, power windows are integrated discreetly into the traditional layout, with the original handles activating the switches. The Boot is treated in the exact same luxury as the cabin.  Every surface, visible or hidden has been finished to a show-quality standard, in line with Pavicich’s vision of old-school hot rodding done right.
