The 1957 Austin Healey 100/6 BN4 is considered a classic sports car and an important part of UK Sports Car heritage. The First of the renowned “Big Healey’s” with their extended wheelbase, sportier features & enlarged engine. Well-preserved examples in good condition can command high prices in the collector’s market.
This particular example presents & drives very well, as it is believed to have received a full restoration 20+ years ago. An excellent opportunity to acquire the first year of the BIG HEALEY’s production in a very desirable color combination of Old English White over Maroon Upholstery together with the electric overdrive gearbox.

The 100/6 evolved into a ‘Big Healey’ with a more muscular body line & flared arches, a racing type grille inspired by the ‘Austin Healey Le Mans racer’ and a functional air scoop on the bonnet.
This particular car is very well presented in the iconic ‘Old English White’ paintwork which was a well known BMC Color for the era. Zero Rust to be found & all Chrome is still shinning. The well rounded example is complimented with period correct 72 Spoke Wire Wheels capturing the essence of its period styling. A Beautiful Looking Car!

This particular cars interior is believed to have been reupholstered in early 2000’s when a full rebuild of the vehicle was done. Included is the Convertible top that is still in excellent condition. All useable for years to come.
Austin Healey upgraded the engine for the new ‘Big Healey’ 100/6 model to a 2.6 LTR 6 Cylinder unit with twin SU Carburetors. Providing strong performance even in todays traffic, the Exhaust note is possibly one of the best sounding Straight Six engines of its type with a deep Burble.
This cars mechanicals have been fully maintained since the car was purchased in 2006 by the Vendor with only light driving duties during his ownership. 4x New Wheel Brake Cylinders, Clutch Cylinder, Brake Master Cylinder, spin on Oil Filter conversion & Water Pump have been replaced recently making this car ready to enjoy for summer.
This Iconic British Sports car presents very well for its age, with mechanicals all serviced & in good driving order. The Body is straight with no rust to be found and the Paintwork shines. The interior is in very presentable condition.
This vehicle comes with an assorted of spare parts including all Wet Weather Side Windows with covers, Tonneau Cover, Full Soft Top and correct Bows, an upgraded 12 Port head, lead mallet for wheel spin off’s, Wheel spin off spanner & various globes & air cleaner housings etc.
The Seller has kept this Vehicle Garaged in a private collection & driven sparingly. Owner used on Full Victorian Registration with personalised plates.

We offer the opportunity for bidders to view, or arrange inspections for each vehicle prior to bidding, and we encourage bidders to take advantage of this. All Vehicles are sold unregistered. We do check-over the vehicles which are delivered to our showroom for auction suitability & internal checks, but this gives our unbiased personal observations, not those of a qualified inspector, mechanic or other professional. We do not formally test drive the cars. Classic Cars of any type usually do have some sort of unseen flaws & Odometer readings are regularly incorrect. Understand, this is part of any Classic Car ownership. Each car is to be judged by you, for its correctness.
