1962 CHEVROLET NOVA V8

Model Overview:

The Chevrolet Nova Sport Coupe has a long history in Curcuit & Drag Racing circles due to its Light Weight & more Compact design compared to the larger American cars of the era. A great looking car from the outset, it didn’t take long for the team at Chevrolet to shoehorn a Small Block V8 into the front end and watch its popularity soar with clever power to weight ratio thinkers of the time including Champion Australian racer, Norm Beechey importing a Chevrolet Nova 11 V8 example here to Australia to compete successfully in Touring car racing.

Auction Vehicle:

This 1962 Nova is an early model with the nicer looking tail lights & front fenders compared to the Nova 2. Fitted with a strong & rare Chevrolet 327 4 Bolt Mains with all the right components for required performance when needed, it’s driving power through a Turbo 350 Automatic.

It’s red paintwork stands out in a crowd with its pillarless coupe windows all dropping for a great looking car. Plenty of Chrome inside & out with a roomy Black & Red interior with a Bench seat front for a very cool look.

Mechanical:

Strong Chevrolet 327 4 Bolt Mains V8 with Edelbrock Alloy Heads, Roller Rockers, Holley 650, Extractors, finned Rocker Covers and Air cleaner. Turbo 350 Auto Transmission sending power to the back wheels. Chevrolet Camaro Front Disc Brakes are fitted for extra stopping power.

Body:

Painted in a Deep Red color with a fantastic amount of Chrome Body trimmings to accentuate its Sports Coupe look. Fitted with American Racing rims and set-up with a lowered suspension stance that completes the 1960’s Chevrolet Nova Hotrod Racer styling.

Interior:

Classic Interior fitted in Black and Red Vinyl with matching door cards and Red Roof Lining gives this car a great 60’s feel. Original Nova steering wheel handles the corners with Autometer Gauges & Large Pro Tacho to keep the numbers in check. Old School Automatic Shifter in Chrome adds to the appeal.

Excellent Red & Black color tones throughout.

History & Maintenance:

Well kept by it’s current Vendor in his car Collection. Import Approval supplied.

Buyers Premium & Payment:

BP 6.5% of Winning Bid Amount. (GST Inc.) Debited from Auction Winners Bank Card as deposit.
Example: $50,000 Winning Bid + Buyers Premium $3,250 (6.5%) = $53,250 AUD Total Amount.

The Winning Bidder will be sent an Invoice to be paid within 5 Days. Payment by EFT Bank Transfer.

All Vehicles must be collected within 7 days of the Auction Close.

How to Bid:

• Register & become a Verified Bidder.
• Bids must be at least $250 higher than the current bid. You may enter a higher bid at any time
• When placing a Bid, do not use a ‘comma mark’. ( Example $10000 equals $10,000 )
• If Reserve Price is Met, a yellow banner will say “Reserve Met” on the Lot Auction Page.
• Auction will extend by another 2 Minutes, if a bid is placed within 2 minutes of Auction End.

*If the Reserve Price is not met, only the highest bidder has first right to negotiate any purchase.

Transport:

Fully Enclosed Transport is easily arranged for interstate buyers, throughout Australia. Buyer is responsible for cost.

Vehicle information is provided to us by the Vendor. Each Vehicle is to be personally verified by the Bidder, for its Condition & Authenticity. The Chicane team review all vehicles at our Showroom for internal checks & auction suitability, not of a qualified inspector, mechanic or other professional.  Due to age, Classic Cars can have many unseen flaws and a mechanical check / service is recommended before driving. Odometer readings can be incorrect & are unverified. We Highly advise to inspect any Vehicle before bidding, as Items are sold as is, without cooling off period or warranty under Victorian LMCT Auction Guidelines. All Vehicles are sold unregistered unless otherwise stated. All cars have a clear PPSR and are sold without finance owing or on the Written Off Vehicle Register.

GST will not be added to, or included in, the final bid price of this item. GST is included in the buyers premium.
