Model Overview:
The second-generation Corvette, known as the C2, made its debut in 1963 with the menacing name ‘Sting Ray’, reflecting its sleek profile. The C2 Corvette Sting Ray inherited its aerodynamic design from Bill Mitchell’s Racing Concepts and underwent refinement by Larry Shinoda, resulting in a serious sports car with a shorter wheelbase and independent rear suspension developed by Chief engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov.
In 1964, the Sting Ray underwent further upgrades, both structurally and aesthetically. Notably, the iconic split rear window was replaced with a single wrap-around glass, simulated air intakes on the hood were removed for a cleaner appearance. The insignia was redesigned with the memorable concentric circles and crossed flags. The suspension received enhancements, and the options for the 327 V8 engine included an EFI boost to produce an additional 15 horsepower, totaling 375 if ticked.
Auction Vehicle:
Stunning example with a full restoration recently completed featuring Silver Blue Metallic paintwork over Black interior. Featuring a strong 365HP specification 327 Chevrolet V8 mated to a M20 4 Speed Manual, this car drives as good as it looks.
Upgrades such as 4 wheels Disc Brakes, Side Exhaust Pipes, factory option Knock Off Spinner wheels and an upgraded 1967 bonnet scoop make this car a complete package. In fully serviced excellent condition, ready to drive and enjoy. Inspection welcomed.
Mechanical:
Powered by its strong 365hp Specification 327 Chevrolet V8 (Block Code 3782870), mated to its factory 4 Speed M20 manual Gearbox, driving power through to its independent rear suspension.
Four Wheel Disc Brakes are fitted for effortless stopping power. All suspension items are fully serviced. All mechanical items are in very good condition, ready to drive and enjoy.
Body:
Complete professional Body & Paint restoration completed 4 years ago. High level paintwork with 3 clearcoats applied for extra shine. Excellent panel gaps and detail work that proves the high level quality. Must be seen to be appreciated. Inspection welcomed.
Interior:
Excellent interior throughout with it’s renewed seats, door cards, carpeting, roof lining and fitted carpeting. Dashboard, steering wheel, console and instrumentation in excellent order featuring the factory high output 6,500 Redline RPM ( 365 / 375hp option) Tachometer.
History & Maintenance:
Imported into Australia in 2011 and Owned by the Current Vendor since. Full restoration completed. Currently Club Registered in Victoria.

The Winning Bidder will be sent an Invoice to be paid within 5 Days. Payment by EFT Bank Transfer.
All Vehicles must be collected within 7 days of the Auction Close.

- If Reserve Price is Met, a yellow banner will say “Reserve Met” on the Lot Auction Page.
- Auction will extend by another 2 Minutes, if a bid is placed within 2 minutes of Auction End.
*If the Reserve Price is not met, only the highest bidder has first right to negotiate any purchase.
Transport:
Fully Enclosed Transport is easily arranged for interstate buyers, throughout Australia. Buyer is responsible for cost.
