One of the most beautifully sculptured racing cars ever created, the Shelby Daytona Coupe cemented its place in motorsport history by defeating Ferrari to secure the 1965 FIA World Manufacturers' Championship. With just six original Daytona Coupes ever built, they remain among the most valuable and coveted competition cars in existence. This outstanding 2007 Harrison Shelby Daytona Coupe faithfully captures the spirit and unmistakable styling of the original while incorporating modern engineering, reliability and everyday usability.

Professionally engineered and Australian-built by Harrison Sports Cars, this example was road registered from new and constructed to comply with all applicable 2007 Australian Design Rules. Accompanied by its original Ray Cross engineering certification, the car features Harrison's purpose-built space frame monocoque chassis and high quality reinforced fibreglass body. Further enhancing its credentials, it carries a Queensland Modification Plate and is currently ACT registered.

Power comes from a fuel-injected Ford 5.0-litre High Output Windsor V8, producing the unmistakable burble of an American V8 through side-exit exhausts and twin rear outlets, delivering effortless performance perfectly suited to the Daytona Coupe's lightweight construction. Backing the V8 is a matching Ford T5 five-speed manual transmission driving through a Nissan Skyline R32 independent rear suspension with an R200 limited-slip differential for real world performance ability. The Harrison-designed independent front suspension, adjustable AVO coil-over dampers with King Springs, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering and Halibrand-style alloy wheels combine authentic 1960s endurance racing character with modern road manners and confident handling, creating a superbly balanced sports car engineered to be driven and enjoyed.

Inside, the cockpit has been purpose built, faithfully recreating the minimalist atmosphere of a 1960s endurance racer while incorporating thoughtful modern refinements. Black leather-trimmed Harrison bucket seats provide excellent support, complemented by a classic Moto-Lita timber-rim steering wheel and polished manual gear shifter. A full suite of VDO instrumentation keeps the driver informed, while the aircraft-inspired switch panel reinforces the purposeful competition feel. An integrated roll bar forms part of the structural chassis design, adding both rigidity and occupant protection. Despite its race-inspired appearance, the cabin remains surprisingly comfortable thanks to modern air conditioning, quality trim throughout and an ergonomically designed driving position, making the Daytona equally suited to weekend touring, club events or longer road trips.

Presented in excellent condition with some stone chips evident, the Metallic Blue paintwork accented by classic White racing stripes perfectly highlights the dramatic proportions and timeless styling that made the Daytona Coupe one of Carroll Shelby's greatest creations.

Whether driven or displayed at motoring events, enjoyed on spirited weekend drives or taken on interstate touring adventures, this Australian-engineered Daytona delivers a driving experience every bit as memorable as its appearance.

For enthusiasts seeking the unmistakable presence of one of motorsport's most iconic GT cars, combined with proven Australian engineering, V8 performance and modern reliability, this Harrison Shelby Daytona Coupe represents an outstanding opportunity to own one of the finest interpretations of the legendary Shelby Daytona ever built.
