MODEL OVERVIEW:
The Ford Falcon XB, produced from 1973 to 1976, represents one of the most iconic evolutions of Australia’s homegrown Falcon lineage. Distinguished from the previous XA Model by its revised front-end treatment featuring a more aggressive grille, the XB carried through the long-wheelbase, wide-track stance that defined Ford’s dominance in the local full-size market during the early 1970s. Offered across a broad range from Falcon 500 through to the performance-focused GT, the XB could be specified with inline six-cylinder engines or V8 powerplants, most notably the thundering Geelong built 351 Cleveland units. It gained lasting cultural significance through its association with Australian touring car competition and later global recognition via its starring role in the Mad Max films.

Pacemaker headers feeding into a 3-inch custom exhaust system with Hooker Mufflers complete the engine package, delivering strong delivery and an aggressive exhaust note.
Cooling is comprehensively addressed with a Meziere electric water pump, Desert Cooler aluminium radiator and twin thermo fans, maintaining stable operating temperatures under high-performance conditions.
Transmission is a heavy-duty C10 automatic, fitted with a TCI Stage 2 valve body and matched to a TCE 5000rpm stall converter, with an external transmission cooler for reliability.
Power is delivered through a Ford 9-inch differential with 31-spline axles and 4.11 gearing, supported by a heavy-duty 4-inch tailshaft — a proven combination engineered to handle sustained high load.
EXTERIOR
The body presents straight and structurally sound, with paintwork completed over 20 years ago now showing age-related blemishes consistent with use. The car retains strong XB GT styling cues and sits with a tough, aggressive stance that reflects its performance intent.
It rides on Centerline Convo Pro wheels, wrapped in Mickey Thompson ET Street R tyres at the rear and Mickey Thompson Sportsman fronts, providing both the correct street machine stance and functional traction.
INTERIOR
The interior is presented in all-black XB GT-style trim, cleanly executed and driver-focused. It retains a full GT dash, centre console and steering wheel, with all factory GT instruments. Performance-focused additions include a TCI Outlaw reverse lockout shifter, along with a full suite of Auto Meter instrumentation — including Sport Comp II tachometer with Pro-Lite shift light mounted front and centre, supported by Auto Meter water temperature, oil pressure and fuel gauges.
