AUCTION CAR
This 1968 Dodge Charger is a truly exceptional survivor, preserved in outstanding original condition and representing one of the finest unrestored examples to come to market. Retaining its original factory paintwork and interior, this Charger offers an increasingly rare opportunity to acquire a reference-grade American muscle car exactly as it left the showroom. Supported by its original books and service card from new, this example stands firmly as a museum-quality collector piece rather than a restored or modified car.
DRIVE-LINE
Power is supplied by the factory small-block 318 cubic inch V8, paired with the original TorqueFlite automatic transmission and original differential, along with factory power steering. For improved drivability and safety, the car has been fitted with upgraded front disc brakes and a power brake booster. Importantly, all original removed components are supplied with the sale, allowing the vehicle to be returned to full factory specification if desired.
The original wheels with ply tyres (as photographed) are included, with a secondary set of wheels are fitted with radial tyres used for driving duties. Aside from these sympathetic upgrades, the drivetrain remains unmodified and true to original specification.
EXTERIOR
The exterior retains its remarkable original factory paintwork over a dry, corrosion-free body, presenting with the honest character and depth that only genuine long-term preservation can deliver. Panel alignment is exceptionally straight and is highlighted by an outstanding original grille and trim, along with unmarked tail lights rarely seen on survivor cars of this era. Chrome, trim, and glass remain in excellent original condition throughout, reinforcing the Charger’s authenticity and elevating this example well beyond the norm for unrestored vehicles.
INTERIOR
Inside, the Charger retains its fully original interior trim, materials, and finishes, presenting in remarkable condition for its age. The dashboard, gauges, and instruments remain crisp and clear, reflecting exceptional preservation and careful ownership. The seating remains untouched by restoration or modification and presents in some of the best original condition we have seen, offering an invaluable reference point for collectors and marque enthusiasts who value authenticity over replacement.
SUMMARY
An outstanding 1968 Dodge Charger survivor, retaining its original paint, interior, drivetrain, and documentation from new, complemented by sympathetic safety upgrades with all original components included. This is a true collector-grade example — museum quality, historically intact, and increasingly difficult to replace.
A rare opportunity to secure an authentic American muscle car valued for preservation, provenance, and long-term significance.
