Model Overview:

The 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 351 4V Cleveland is a legendary muscle car that embodies the peak of Mustang performance and style. With the Mach 1 package effectively replacing the GT, it introduced a host of exterior and interior upgrades. For 1970, the Mach 1 featured a revised grille with twin driving lights, aluminum rocker moldings, and striking new paintwork and graphics. These enhancements complemented the aggressive fastback design. The new 351 cubic inch (5.8 L) 4-barrel Cleveland V8 engine delivered higher power and torque. Inside, the Mach 1 offered a driver-focused cockpit with high-back bucket seats and performance-oriented gauges. For many enthusiasts, the 1970 Mach 1 represents the final year of the true performance Mustangs, combining bold aesthetics with thrilling performance.

Auction Vehicle:

Great looking 1970 Mustang Mach 1 featuring it’s recently rebuilt 351 4V V8 engine, FMW automatic and 9″ differential. Presented in its original Ford Medium Red and Clarion white interior sitting on its original Magnum Wheels with its original Mach 1 Hood Scoop and stripes making a marvelous looking machine.

A good solid example with a large file of recent reconditioned items including full Engine Rebuild, Automatic Transmission Rebuild, Suspension renewed, Differential Rebuilt and Radiator renewed, all completed since 2021 with receipts.

Mechanical:

Large history file of major reconditioning of Mechanicals in 2021. Engine, Transmission, differential, suspension, radiator all reconditioned.

Body:

Straight Body in a great color. Paintwork showing stone chips and minor marks from being driven as it should.

Interior:

Very Clean front and rear seats that look to have been renewed recently. All dashboard and gauges are clean.

History & Maintenance:

Large file of History and maintenance including last American Owner and Marti Report. Has been registered in Qld, NSW and Victoria since being in Australia.

Buyers Premium & Payment:

BP 6.5% of Winning Bid Amount. (GST Inc.) Debited from Auction Winners Bank Card as deposit.
Example: $50,000 Winning Bid + Buyers Premium $3,250 (6.5%) = $53,250 AUD Total Amount.

The Winning Bidder will be sent an Invoice to be paid within 5 Days. Payment is by Bank Transfer.

How to Bid:

• Register & become a Verified Bidder.
• Bids must be at least $250 higher than the current bid. You may enter a higher bid at any time.
• When placing a Bid, do not use a ‘comma mark’. ( Example $10000 equals $10,000 )
•  If Reserve Price is Met, a yellow banner will say “Reserve Met” on the Lot Auction Page.
• Auction will extend by another 2 Minutes, if a bid is placed within 2 minutes of Auction End.

If the Reserve Price is not met, only the highest bidder has first right to negotiate any purchase.

Transport:

Fully Enclosed Transport is easily arranged for interstate buyers, throughout Australia. Buyer is responsible for cost.

Conditions of Sale:

Vehicle information is provided to us by the Vendor. Each Vehicle is to be personally verified by the Bidder, for its Condition & Authenticity. The Chicane team review all vehicles at our Showroom for internal checks & auction suitability, not of a qualified inspector, mechanic or other professional.  Due to age, Classic Cars can have many unseen flaws. Odometer readings can be incorrect & are unverified. We Highly advise to inspect any Vehicle before bidding, as Items are sold as is, without cooling off period under Victorian LMCT Auction Guidelines. GST will not be added to, or included in, the final bid price of this item. GST is included in the buyers premium. All Vehicles are sold unregistered unless otherwise stated. All cars have a clear PPSR and are sold without finance owing or on the Written Off Vehicle Register. – Lot 1052 Vendor is registered for GST and will be included in the winning sale price.
