The Chrysler VK Charger marked the penultimate evolution of Chrysler Australia’s iconic fastback coupe, blending distinctive muscle car styling with refined features unique to the mid-1970s. Released in late 1975, the VK was available in XL and 770 trims, showcasing Chrysler’s signature Hemi 6 and V8 engine options, including the robust 265ci and 360ci units. Though the legendary high-performance R/T models had been retired by this stage, the VK Charger retained the bold presence and driver-focused character that made the model a national favourite. Subtle updates—such as the new grille, tail-light refinements, and black C-pillar panels—reflected the car’s maturing style, while limited editions like the "White Knight Special" added further collector appeal.
