Chicane Auctions' December 2025 Collector, Performance & Rare Car Auction concluded on Thursday, 4 December, delivering a strong finish to the year.

Featuring a diverse collection of Australian muscle cars, American classics, European sports cars, historic vehicles and specialist recreations, the auction demonstrated strong collector interest across several segments of the Australian classic car market.

Headlining the Australian muscle car selection was a genuine 1967 Ford Falcon XR GT, representing the beginning of Ford Australia's legendary Falcon GT lineage. The matching-numbers example achieved $145,000, while other notable offerings included a 1974 Holden LH Torana SL/R, a highly modified 1986 Holden Commodore VL Turbo and a survivor 1972 Chrysler Valiant VH Charger.

American classics were also well represented, including a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS and a beautifully presented 1955 Ford Customline, while a 1966 Ford GT40 Tribute brought the unmistakable styling of Ford's legendary Le Mans-winning sports car to the auction.

European collector vehicles featured prominently, including Australian-delivered examples of the Porsche 944 Turbo and a classic Volkswagen Kombi Lowlight Deluxe, together with a Porsche 356 Speedster Tribute 

One of the most historically significant vehicles offered was an extraordinary 1898 De Dion-Bouton Tricycle and Sulky, reportedly retained within the same family since its original delivery in 1899. With a remarkable history extending back to the earliest days of motoring in Australia, this rare machine represented a fascinating contrast to the muscle and performance cars featured throughout the auction.

The December results demonstrated Chicane Auctions' ability to research, present and market a broad range of collector vehicles, from early motoring history and Australian performance icons to American classics and European sports cars.
