These internal upgrades were engineered to withstand intensive track use and deliver exceptional tuning headroom. Working in tandem with this is the renowned AOR 5-speed manual transaxle (Getrag G44/10), universally regarded as the ultimate 944 gearbox. Featuring close-ratio gearing, a factory 40% limited-slip differential, an external oil pump and dedicated oil cooler, plus strengthened half-shafts and uprated CV joints, the AOR transaxle was purpose-built for endurance, high-speed stability and repeated track punishment. Complementing this formidable driveline is the M030 Sports Suspension Package—essentially a road-legal adaptation of the 944 Turbo Cup race car setup. This package transforms the chassis with Koni adjustable shock absorbers at all four corners, larger 26.8 mm front and 18 mm rear anti-roll bars, stiffer torsion bars and uprated springs paired with progressive-rate front coils. The result is noticeably sharper turn-in, dramatically reduced body roll and a level of composure under load that far surpasses standard models. Braking performance is equally elevated thanks to 4-piston Brembo aluminium calipers front and rear—identical to those of the 928 S4—clamping large 304 mm vented front discs and 299 mm rear discs. This high-spec hardware delivers exceptional stopping power, outstanding fade resistance and genuine track-ready braking consistency.
