OCTOBER 2025 CLASSIC CAR AUCTION — RESULTS

Chicane Auctions' October 2025 Collector, Performance & Rare Car Auction concluded on Thursday, 23 October, delivering strong results across a diverse selection of Australian muscle cars, American classics, European sports cars and specialist performance vehicles.

Headlining the auction was an impressive Ford GT40 Mk I recreation by the highly regarded British manufacturer GT Developments, which achieved $158,000. Finished in Azure Blue with white racing stripes and powered by a Ford 302ci Windsor V8, this beautifully presented example attracted significant interest and was the highest-priced sale of the auction.

Australian muscle cars were strongly represented, led by a rare 1974 Ford XB Fairmont GS Hardtop in factory Burnt Orange, which achieved $128,000. A genuine 1976 Ford Falcon XB GT Sedan, finished in Tango with Parchment trim and retaining its matching-numbers 351ci Cleveland V8, sold for $89,250.

Another significant result was a low-kilometre 2014 FPV GT F 351, Build No. 357, equipped with the desirable six-speed manual transmission. Representing the final chapter of Ford Australia's Falcon GT lineage, this highly collectible example achieved $112,500.

The auction also featured a restored 1969 Holden HT Monaro GTS, finished in Verdoro Green, alongside a selection of classic Ford Hardtops, a V8-powered XY Falcon Panel Van and a custom right-hand-drive Ford F100. The XY Panel Van achieved $50,000, while several other vehicles found new owners for undisclosed amounts.

European collector vehicles were represented by a matching-numbers 1962 Jaguar Mk II 3.8, which sold for $40,250, an Australian-delivered 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo and a desirable 1989 BMW E30 325is Coupe, which achieved $49,500.
