Model Overview:

The Ford Falcon XA GT, produced between 1972 and 1973, is a legendary Australian muscle car known for its aggressive styling and performance. Today, an XA GT TRIBUTE is a very popular and accepted alternative to the ‘Genuine Authenticated Numbers Matching car’ due to the lower cost of Purchase and more willingness to drive them without fear. As such, a thriving industry of GT Parts are available to mimic the Genuine XA GT using another vehicle with reproduction parts. Original factory V8 ‘Y or K Code’ Tribute cars can command a higher price, all depending on condition & how close their specification it is to the original GT, with some requiring an expert to know the difference.

This 1973 Ford Falcon XA GT TRIBUTE is presented in high quality condition. A special car in its own right from the Ford Factory, being ordered as a Y Code V8 with Toploader 4 Speed and 9″ Differential, delivered by Mcleod Ford. This stunning example retains its original Dealer Delivery books which shows the car to still retain its original matching Numbers Cleveland V8 engine, which is now enlarged from a 302 to 351 with GT Specifications. With its Wild Plum paintwork, Bone White trim, performance drive-line and adorned with all correct GT parts, this car is a stand out example. Quality condition inside & out.

Mechanical:

Strong 5.8 Litre 351ci Cleveland V8 with 2V match ported Heads with Roller Rockers, Comp Cam, Weiand X-Celerator Manifold under a Holley 650 DP. Toploader 31 Spline 4 Speed Gearbox directing power back to a 3.7 Ratio 9″ LSD. Easily driven with its Power Steering & all suspension and brakes recently renewed. Sitting on Bathurst Globes with Redwall Tyres. All Mechanicals & Underside is very clean.

Body:

Stunning Wild Plum paintwork completed 10 Years ago and shows the professional quality. Dead straight with hardly a blemish to found at all. Original XA GT Bonnet and Guards add to this quality bodywork. Underbody is in as high quality condition & as good as the topside, with zero corrosion.

Interior:

Stand out ‘Bone White’ interior in brilliant condition. Seats, Door Cards, Hood lining show no blemishes. Dash condition is fantastic with full GT Instrumentation. Console, shifter and carpet all fantastic. A really well cared for interior.

Summary:

A fantastic matching numbers car from the factory, retaining it’s original engine that’s now built to GT Specifications. Hard to find a XA GT Tribute that left the Ford Factory as a Genuine V8 4 Speed car, with Original Dealer Books from Mcleod Ford – the same year the Famous Mcleod Ford XA GT won Bathurst! Very well built car with great attention to detail.

Buyers Premium & Payment:

BP 6.5% of Winning Bid Amount. (GST Inc.) Debited from Auction Winners Bank Card as deposit.
Example: $50,000 Winning Bid + Buyers Premium $3,250 (6.5%) = $53,250 AUD Total Amount.

The Winning Bidder will be sent an Invoice to be paid within 5 Days. Payment is by Bank Transfer.

How to Bid:

• Register & become a Verified Bidder.
• Bids must be at least $250 higher than the current bid. You may enter a higher bid at any time.
• When placing a Bid, do not use a ‘comma mark’. ( Example $10000 equals $10,000 )
•  If Reserve Price is Met, a yellow banner will say “Reserve Met” on the Lot Auction Page.
• Auction will extend by another 2 Minutes, if a bid is placed within 2 minutes of Auction End.

If the Reserve Price is not met, only the highest bidder has first right to negotiate any purchase.

Transport:

Fully Enclosed Transport is easily arranged for interstate buyers, throughout Australia. Buyer is responsible for cost.

The Chicane team review all vehicles at our Showroom for internal checks & auction suitability, not of a qualified inspector, mechanic or other professional.  Due to age, Classic Cars can have many unseen flaws. Odometer readings can be incorrect & are unverified. We Highly advise to inspect any Vehicle before bidding, as Items are sold as is, without cooling off period under Victorian LMCT Auction Guidelines. GST will not be added to, or included in, the final bid price of this item. GST is included in the buyers premium. All Vehicles are sold unregistered unless otherwise stated. All cars have a clear PPSR and are sold without finance owing or on the Written Off Vehicle Register.
