SEPTEMBER 2026 CLASSIC CAR AUCTION — RESULTS

Chicane Auctions' September 2026 Collector, Performance & Rare Car Auction concluded on Thursday, 3 September, delivering strong results across a diverse selection of Australian muscle cars, American classics, Japanese sports cars and European collector vehicles.

Headlining the auction was a 1969 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, which achieved $180,000, followed by a 1969 Holden HT Monaro GTS selling for $112,500. A genuine 1974 Ford Falcon XB GT, finished in factory Mulberry Metallic with contrasting white interior, achieved $85,250, highlighting continued collector interest in Australia's iconic performance cars.

Australian classics were strongly represented, with a beautifully presented 1967 Holden HR Premier selling for $74,750, while a 1967 Holden HR Ute achieved $63,250. Modern Australian performance vehicles also attracted buyers, including a low-kilometre 2017 Holden VF II Magnum Ute achieving $88,500 and a 2016 Ford Falcon FG X XR8 Sprint selling for $56,000.

American collector vehicles included a 2006 Harrison AC Cobra recreation, which achieved $70,500, alongside an increasingly collectible 1986 Buick Grand National Turbo selling for $54,000.

Japanese classics were represented by a 1973 Datsun 240Z, which sold for $43,050, demonstrating Chicane Auctions' experience in marketing Japanese sports and performance vehicles alongside traditional Australian and American classics.

European collector vehicles were represented by a 1994 Mercedes-Benz SL 500, which achieved $38,088, further demonstrating the diversity of vehicles offered through Chicane Auctions' Melbourne showroom.
